Why do we need this crap when KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 6.0.300 works just fine?

could anyone pls tell me if this version is as buggy and resource hogging as the previous builds? thx.

anyway, NOD32 is the best antivirus system i have come across other than Norton. but symantec thinks that every computer in the world has alot of spare memory to use. :)

So, if I have been working with computers for 16 years and I use the ZA Suite for about 4 years or so, then it still means that all my computers are screwed up, but this ZA release is great? The previous comment comes from a very dumb person who must keep himself from speaking in public.

Have used ZA firewall (genuine licensed versions) professionally for 6 years and used to think it was great. Used it in a combination with F-Secure, but since ZA a couple of years ago started to get issues with F-S we skipped F-S and changed over to ZA Suite. That gave us nothing than problems. Each and every new release from ZA has been haunted by different bugs. In one version ZA claimed the antivirus updated daily as it should, but it didn’t. That bug we, their paying customers, paid for by getting several worm and virus attacks. When we contacted ZA about the problem they just told us to go back and reinstall an older version and wait for a bug fix. Check out their forum and you’ll see for yourself what frustrations that bug meant to many other licensed customers too. And that has been the standard of ZA ever since. Bug after bug in their releases. We’re now down to using their stand alone firewall combined with KAV and that seems to function okay. Hasn’t had a virus or worm problem for more than six months now, even though the computers I’m responsible for are ‘raped’ daily by around 3.000 different people.   Other departments at our institution are using McAfee (also fully licensed) with far less luck. They constantly got problems with worms in their networks, especially root kits which McAfee obviously can’t disinfect probably even though they claim so.   I’m not claiming to be an expert in these matters. I only try share my experiences.

In matters like these one's experience or knowledge don't count at all (since the user doesn't write the apps!).

There are quirky softwares and inter-incompatibilities that may appear in one version and dissapear in another! Whether 1 computer or 100, you've simply got to be lucky NOT to have apps 'fighting' each other in the background - whichever loses will crash the system! And corrupt the Registry.

If you're managing lot of computers, go in for specific consultations with the firewall co's for exclusive programs for your special use. That's the only (expensive) way!

Ever since I installed this firewall, pop-ups from Firefox won't bloody show up!! Can someone tell me what settings to change please? It's really annoying...When I want to play online games and it has to load a new window to play it the window doesn't pop up...It's really annoying...I even turned off pop-up blocker in the Firefox options.

Can someone help? I thought about switching to Outpost but I really cannot be bothered...I'm on dil-up and it takes sooooo long to download these files.
