Foobar2000 is free advanced audio player for the Windows platform. Some of the basic features include ReplayGain support, low memory footprint and native support for several popular audio formats.

foobar is NOT a media player... it is an audio player that supports (natively) an amazing number of file formats (music/speech). If you have more than 70 gigs of music... the playlist cannot be matched. Very low resource usage--u can do almost anything (like encoding video) on your pc while listening to music--and no skipping. It is the nod32 of the audio player world. MPC is great... for a media player. I use it too... for video, quicktime, realmedia, etc., but.... not for music. Some of the plugins for foobar are great too. The visualization support isn't so great, but G-force makes a plugin.
