A new build of MSN 8.5 has been released by Micosoft to it's MSN 8 Explorer testers. The favourites menu slowdown bug has been fixed and there are no major changes. It looks as though MSN 8.5 is coming along nicely and I'm sure MSN 8 users will appreciate the upgrade once it is finished.We've supplied a Download link for this latest release but please remember this
is intended only for MSN 8 subscribers and remember this is a beta product so
take care when installing on your PC.

A new build of MSN 8.5, Microsoft's alternative to AOL has been released by Microsoft to its beta testers for intense testing. No major improvements but powerdafuture has noted the status bar has been changed back to the original IE style rather than the new 'MSN 8 style' that Microsoft had implemented in earlier builds. Also, you now have sign out options to sign out of MSN 8 itself and keep your internet connectiong going or sign out of MSN 8 and its internet connection.

MSN 8.5 just automatically updated to biuld 8.50.0016.0801, with some minor visible changes such as a MSN butterfly on the dashboard on startup as opposed to the MSN logo, address bar animation, along with other visual changes. Also added is a "Check Names" button to the Write Message screen when composing a new e-mail message, which will check the e-mail addresses listed in the To or CC fields for mis-spellings (applies to only those e-mail addresses you have in your address book).
People with the first release of MSN 8.5 do not have to manually download this, MSN 8.5 will automatically update.
