This is a newer but beta version of Microsoft .NET Framework. Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0 redistributable package installs the .NET Framework runtime and associated files required to run applications developed to target the .NET Framework v4.0. Note : This is the x64 version. If you are unsure about which one to download, use this x64 version. It should install correctly on either x86 or x64.
