Microsoft has released a hotfix for Microsoft Office 2003. This hotfix fixes a problem that occurs when you open and save a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, a Microsoft Office Word 2003, or a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 document that includes OfficeArt shapes in an earlier version of Microsoft Office.If the OfficeArt shapes are changed in this way, empty "complex" properties may be saved in the document. ARE YOU GOING to upgrade to Office 2003? The delayed Office 2003 was supposed to have recently gone to manufacturing and Microsoft has supplied a list of features it supports that its previous Voleware didn't.One feature that will annoy moles everywhere is that Office Professional Edition will protect email addresses and files from unauthorised copying, forwarding or printing. The difference between Office Pro and Office Amateur is that with the latter you can read authorised files.

Office 2003 is expected to go to manufacturing Aug. 15, which is also when pricing information should become available, according to people familiar with the company's plans.
