Microsoft will try again with its post SP4 rollup package for Windows 2000 by releasing an updated version. The update announcement comes after consumers complained about a wide range of compatibility issues with the package:"After the release of Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4, we identified several issues that may occur when you install this update rollup. These issues are isolated, and affect few customers. If you are affected by these issues, we suggest that you do not install Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 until the corresponding hotfix is available. When you install multiple hotfixes without restarting your computer between each install (chaining), the correct binary may not be installed on your computer.
This problem may occur with hotfixes for Windows XP or Windows 2000 that were created before December, 2002 (even if you use the QChain.exe file or the QChain functionality included in Windows XP and Windows 2000 hotfixes released since May 18, 2001) or hotfixes for Windows NT 4.0 (regardless of when they were created).
This problem occurs when two hotfixes contain different versions of the same binary and QChain.exe file, or when the hotfix installation package for Windows XP or Windows 2000 hotfixes that were created before D

Still Waiting for Windows 2000 Serice Pack 4? Just reinstalled Windows 2000 yet dont want to download all those updates? Well Have we got a treat for you! We (Tech-Critic) and olcay247 (Project Manager on Tech-Critic and Editior on Winfuture.de) got together and talked for a few hours and thought what should we do next, Our Windows XP update pack went so well. Over a 10000 downloads on it that we thought a Windows 2000 (Pre-Service Pack) one would be nice. We really did not want all the other Operating System users to feel "left out" because of not using Windows XP. This Update Pack Includes most if not all the Pre-Service Pack Updates that have been released by Microsoft.
