Microsoft is once again reviving its media megastar Windows Media Player (WMP).
Version 10.0 offers a more streamlined design, improved syncing with portable devices, and something called the Digital Media Mall. At this point, the Mall lets you shop at only two online media stores. That said, this is only the Technical Beta, and smart money says Microsoft will likely add more stores with the final release.

This is Windows Media Player 10 beta, with build labeled 9.00.00.3409. It hasnt changed much from the 9 version, but I think some of you are still interested in downloading this piece of software. The new build only has a few changes to the GUI.

When a content owner creates an audio or video stream, they can add script commands (such as URL script commands and custom script commands) to be encoded in the stream. When the stream is played back, the script commands can trigger events in an embedded player program, or they can open your browser and then navigate to a Web page. This behavior is by design.
