Windows Media Player Microsoft has issued a new knowledge base advisory in which the software company announces the availability of a fix for a "Slight Delay When Windows Media Player 9 Series Switches Files Streamed from a Windows Media Services 9 Series Server".
The symptoms you may experience are: When you stream files from a Windows Media Services 9 Series server, you may notice a delay of five or six seconds when you switch between files.

Windows Media Player Since the Windows Media Center Edition screenshots its been apparent that there is an updated version of Windows Media Player included. Its build number 3005 and Tech-Critic have it for download.
The download is actually a upgrade patch for people that are using Windows Media Player Version 2980 and up. It will upgrade to version 3005.

Windows Media Player Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 VCM (Video Compression Manager), based version of the Windows Media Video 9 encoder/decoder, will enable legacy encoding and editing applications to support the Windows Media Video 9 codec in file containers such as AVI. The codecs offer the best experience when delivered using the ASF file container.
